Our Worship Service begins at 10:00 AM. This Sunday's sermon: Inheriting the Family Business - text: Acts 1:4-11

Today our church thanks our many volunteers as our Church Year draws to a close and some of our regularly scheduled programs take a break for the summer months. May the Lord bless those who have invested their time and energy into His ministry through our church. Please pray for those in leadership positions who are making plans for the continuation of programs in the fall and ask the Lord to lead you into an area where you can be of service.

Please stay and attend our Annual Congregational Meeting right after church this morning. Members and non-members alike are encouraged to give input on the issue of whether to build a new worship center now or delay until such time as we have more funds. New Elders and Deacons will also be chosen to serve on Council and the 2012-13 church budget will be voted on. Elder nominees are Debbie Grossberg & Vera Mc Kenzie Deacon: Dennis Calhoun & Jay Nelson. Packets are available on the foyer table.

May 20 is Potluck Sunday. All worshippers are invited to join us for lunch at our potluck immediately following the worship service and congregational meeting. Children, please wait for your parent to go through the line with you and remember to not take food into the classrooms so we can keep them clean. Our deacons will set up a special table for our senior citizens. If you are not a senior, please do not take their special seats. Thank you.

Homeless Ministry – Today is “Fruit Sunday” when SKCC is asked to provide easy-to-eat fruit such as grapes, berries, oranges and bananas for 125 homeless persons in downtown Miami. Please place your gifts of fruit in the boxes in the foyer. Thank you. If you would like to share your blessings, donations of small toiletry items, socks,T-shirts, sandwiches, fruit, cookies, and hard boiled eggs are always appreciated. If you would like to become involved in this ministry, please contact Ed Jones at 305-232-5234.
