When and Where?

New Christian FM Radio Station. Many of us were disappointed when WMCU (Spirit FM) went off the air some time ago and have been praying for Christian Radio to rebound in Miami. Well, the Lord has answered our prayers with Life FM 90.9 The format is very similar to the former WMCU. Enjoy Christian teaching and music again!

Childrens Worship

Children In Worship
While parents enjoy the worship service, Children in Worship provides both a worship center and an arts and crafts room where our four year olds through first graders worship God in ways that are appropriate for their age group. We begin with a welcome time and opening circle, followed by children’s praise songs, many of which use hand motions or American sign language, and then shift to a quiet song to prepare them to sit attentively and watch God’s story. Instead of just reading or telling a story, the teachers use felt underlays, wooden story people, animals, buildings, trees, and other materials. We present stories from both the Old and New Testaments. There is a sand filled “desert box” for stories that take place in the desert, a wooden ark complete with animals, a miniature version of the Tabernacle, etc.  God’s story time involves all of the child’s senses and draws them into the story itself. When the story is complete, the children are given an opportunity to choose from a variety of responses: making a book mark about the story, coloring, making a special craft project, doing puzzles, reading books, or working with the same story materials the teacher used that day. In closing circle, we read the day’s story from a few verses in the Bible, have time for each child to pray if they choose to, sing a closing song and then line up to receive a sticker and be returned to mom or dad who meet them at the worship center door.
